With the addition of Rajon Rondo to the Lakers roster this season, will there be enough minutes to go around for the Lakers?

The Los Angeles Lakers have a superteam on their hands. Every one of your favorite players (save for Allen Iverson maybe) are on this 2021-22 roster, giving plenty of quality content for Skip Bayless to talk about for the rest of this century.

But let’s back away from personal opinions and get to the nitty gritty of how this roster may pan out for the season. Russell Westbrook, and new addition, Rajon Rondo makes for a lot of backcourt action. Add LeBron to the mix and you have one hell of a season to look for when it comes to the battle of stats, and they’re not even at their peak.

But how will this team rotation really work out this season?

Lakers: Projected rotation with Rajon Rondo addition

Sam Quinn writes that in the 240 minutes of basketball playing time available, this new Lakers roster averages over 300 minutes. Yikes.

Now you have to wonder who will even start because of the addition of Rondo. Naturally Bron and Anthony Davis will start, but considering Dwight Howard in the post, giving he and Rondo significant minutes together off the bench might not be the smartest thing.

Since it seems like the offense will be guard heavy, expect a lot of rotation each quarter or the team just playing small. Frank Vogel’s approach will be a true trick bag when it comes to making sure every player gets to touch the court. But, come mid-season, the strong will survive and get the maximum playing time possible.
