Today’s college football picks against the spread: Will Ohio State cover?

Here are the available point spreads on the college football slate for Thursday, Sept. 2.

Labor Day weekend has arrived, and you have some college football games to wager on.

While the bulk of the games will be happening on Saturday, there are several intriguing matchups on tap for Thursday night. Though there are 16 games featuring FBS teams, only six have two teams of that designation pitted against each other. These include Boise State at UCF, South Florida at North Carolina State, Bowling Green at Tennessee and Minnesota at Ohio State.

• 6:30 p.m. ET: Temple Owls at Rutgers Scarlet Knights (-15)
• 7:00 p.m. ET: Boise State Broncos at UCF Knights (-6.5)
• 7:30 p.m. ET: South Florida Bulls at North Carolina State Wolfpack (-19.5)
• 7:30 p.m. ET: East Carolina Pirates at Appalachian State Mountaineers (-9.5)
• 8:00 p.m. ET: Bowling Green Falcons (+35) at Tennessee Volunteers
• 8:00 p.m. ET: Ohio State Buckeyes (-14) at Minnesota Golden Gophers

Swallow the 15 points and take Greg Schiano’s Rutgers Scarlet Knights to win comfortably over Temple. While we should have a good one in the Bounce House down in Orlando, Gus Malzahn’s UCF Knights win by more than a touchdown over Andy Avalos’ first game leading his alma mater Boise State Broncos. North Carolina State should beat South Florida by at least three touchdowns.

Look for Appalachian State to win by a touchdown and a field goal to keep those East Carolina Pirates at bay. While the Tennessee Volunteers will win Josh Heupel’s debut, this team should not be laying 35 points against any FBS team. Bowling Green covers. As for Ohio State laying 14 points on the road, it will be close by the Buckeyes get the best of Minnesota up in Minneapolis.
