Ohio State is on upset alert vs. Minnesota and Buckeyes fans are ready for Ryan Day to bench C.J. Stroud in favor of Jack Miller or Kyle McCord.

Ohio State trails Minnesota, 14-10 at halftime and Buckeyes fans are ready for Ryan Day to make a change at quarterback.

Life after Justin Fields hasn’t gone smooth after two quarters with C.J. Stroud completing 8-of-14 passes for 58 yards and an interception that led to a Minnesota go-ahead touchdown.

This has led many Ohio State football fans ready to pull the plug on Stroud who entered the season as one of the five leading Heisman candidates. His rough start has Buckeye fans clamoring for his backups Jack Miller and Kyle McCord to get a shot to save them from a season-opening loss.

The Ohio State depth chart had Miller and McCord sharing the No. 2 spot behind Stroud so it’s unclear which one would get the call first if Day does pull the plug on Stroud.

One thing that is clear, at least for tonight, is that former No. 1 overall recruit, Quinn Ewers will not play tonight since he didn’t make the trip to Minneapolis.

Should Day show a little more patience and give Stroud a longer leash and let him lead the comeback efforts vs. Minnesota or should he give into the Twitter mob and make a hasty decision?

It’s a decision that could have long-lasting effects for Ohio State, the Big Ten and the College Football Playoff picture.

When the second half began on FOX, sideline reporter Jenny Taft reported Day said there is “no chance” he’s sitting Stroud. On the first possession of the second half, Stroud threw a touchdown to Chris Olave. This is why patience is a virtue.
