Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies hit a home run in his first game back from injury at Coors Field.

Albies, who injured his knee in what looked to be a serious ailment at the time, hit leadoff in the Braves second game at Coors Field this week. Atlanta secured the first win, and Albies has the Braves off to a fast start on Friday night.

The 24-year-old fouled a ball off his right knee, and in a scary moment had to be carried off the field by teammates. Thankfully, MRI’s were negative, meaning Albies did not have to spend any time on the injured list.

After losing Ronald Acuña for the year earlier this season, any extended absence for Albies was less than ideal.
