Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones clapped back at a Mets fan who attacked his anti COVID-19 vaccine stance.

This is not the first time Chipper has held a controversial opinion on a subject that, well, ought to not be political whatsoever.

Per most medical experts, the COVID-19 vaccine is our main ticket back to normalcy. For those who can get vaccinated, it’s essential for yourself and others that you do so.

Don’t tell Chipper this, however. The former Braves third baseman responded to a Mets fan who attacked his COVID-19 vaccine stance.

A Mets supporter, who stated that he was “just starting to like Chipper,” claimed that he could no longer do so given his vaccine stance. Chipper responded thusly.

“No, I’m just not a sheep, like you. I ask questions, I wait, I don’t line people’s wallets. I think for myself, fend for myself. Difference tween me and you??? I don’t hate you, for thinking differently. Enjoy ur never ending line of booster shots bro! And good luck to ur Mets,” Jones tweeted.

Atlanta Braves: Chipper Jones’ tweet is a bad look for the Hall of Famer

Chipper also infamously called the Sandy Hook massacre a hoax, so perhaps we shouldn’t be taking his advice on, well, anything outside of baseball.

With a new variant on the way, we can only hope Braves and baseball fans ignore Chipper’s advice in this case. He’s a Hall of Fame third baseman, not a Hall of Fame scientist.
