Alabama football: Colin Cowherd makes bold proclamation about Bryce Young
Colin Cowherd thinks extremely highly of Alabama football’s freshman quarterback Bryce Young, going so far as to call him the best Nick Saban has had.
All around college football, it seemed like everyone struggled with first-game jitters and offseason rust. Everyone except Alabama that is.
The Crimson Tide smoked Miami, 44-13, thanks to an outstanding first start from Bryce Young who broke a few records in the process.
After Young threw for four touchdowns and 344 yards, Colin Cowherd had some high praise for him.
“This is not a revelation but [Bryce Young] is the smoothest & best QB talent I’ve seen under Saban. Looks easy for him. Always does for the greats,” Cowherd tweeted.

It’s still early for Young. He’ll certainly face adversity at some point this season. But he sure looked the part.
It also helps having the best coach in college football pulling the strings. No one puts his players in position to succeed better than Nick Saban.
If Young really is the best quarterback Saban has had, then college football better watch out. Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones did plenty of damage to opposing defenses. Young could do even more.
