Look: Maryland Twitter account uses Drake meme to roast West Virginia
By Scott Rogust
The Maryland Terrapins social media accounts savagely roasted the West Virginia Mountaineers following their 30-24 win on Saturday.
It is often customary for a team’s social media account to troll the opposition after they pick up a victory. For the Maryland Terrapins football official Twitter account, they chose violence against the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday.
After the Terrapins picked up a huge 30-24 victory, the football program’s official Twitter account used a Drake meme to savagely roast the Mountaineers. It was a parody of the rapper’s new album cover “Certified Lover Boy,” but they superimposed West Virginia helmets with the caption “Certified Loser Boys.”
Maryland Terrapin’s official Twitter account makes another music meme to roast West Virginia
If you thought the music memes were done there, the Maryland Terrapins’ official Twitter account kindly asks to hold their beer.
The account tweeted out a photo with the team dubbing WVU “LVU,” with a caption reading “Country Woes.” That, of course, is a parody of the popular John Denver song “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” which is played at every West Virginia game.
Maryland’s social media team had some fun at the expense of their opponents this Saturday. For all future opponents of the Terrapins — beware of the memes that will be tweeted out at your expense if you end up losing to Maryland.
