Will Levis lead Kentucky to an easy opening season win against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, but the quarterback’s future might lie in comedy.

Most starting SEC quarterbacks are firmly focused on finding a way to make their way to the NFL. Kentucky starter Will Levis is apparently a little different. One look at his official bio on the school’s website makes that abundantly clear.

It’s safe to assume that most college quarterbacks don’t listen to pre-2012 Justin Bieber music to calm their nerves before big games. That’s just what Levis claims to do. There’s no certainty that will help the Kentucky signal-caller deal with menacing SEC defender as the 2021 regular season rolls along.

Will Levis isn’t the same old quarterback at Kentucky

Levis also deserves credit for having a strong idea of how he’d like his future career to play out. He’s not maniacally focused on the prospect of professional football like some of his peers. Instead, Levis wants to be a stay-at-home dad. His desire to occupy that position does hinge on one important factor though. The 6-foot-3 junior insists that his future wife earn a six-figure salary before he feels comfortable staying at home with the children.

The real beauty of Levis’ bio may come in the form of how opposing fans respond to it as it gains increasing notoriety. The Connecticut native should plan on hearing it from opposing student sections as the SEC season progresses.

Fortunately, all he needs to do to get himself grounded again is to pump some early Bieber into his headphones on the sideline. Levis is a different sort of cat and that might serve him well during his collegiate career.
