Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool had a hilarious response to a fan who put a big bet on him leading the league in touchdowns this season.

Someone has a lot of faith in Steelers receiver Chase Claypool. So much so they put down a $1,000 bet that he’ll lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns in 2020.

Even Claypool seemed a bit shocked by that one, prompting a great response on Twitter.

“Dad? Is that you,” Claypool wrote.

The bet in question would pay out $91,000. How likely is it to come good?

Betting on Chase Claypool shows a lot of confidence

Claypool had a great rookie season. He caught 62 passes for 873 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games. He started six times.

As promising as that season was, Claypool has a lot of work to do to contend for the league lead in TD receptions. Last year, Davante Adams took the crown with 18 and he won’t expect to slow down anytime soon. Tyreek Hill had 15 and Adam Thielen had 14. Mike Evans came away with 13.

Claypool could star for the Steelers and still struggle to match those numbers, especially working in an offense that also features Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
