Week 1 NFL Coverage Maps
Thursday, Sept. 9 (NBC)
Dallas Cowboys (0-0) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-0): Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth
The season kicks off in earnest tonight as the Buccaneers raise their title banner at home against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. Prescott’s throwing shoulder remains an open question after his limited workload in the preseason but if he’s good to go this game has shootout potential.
Sunday, Sept. 12
Early Window – CBS
Pittsburgh Steelers (0-0) at Buffalo Bills (0-0) (Red): Ian Eagle, Charles Davis
Jacksonville Jaguars (0-0) at Houston Texans (0-0) (Blue): Greg Gumbel, Adam Archuleta
New York Jets (0-0) at Carolina Panthers (0-0) (Green): Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber
Los Angeles Chargers (0-0) at Washington Football Team (0-0) (Yellow): Spero Dedes, Jay Feely
Arizona Cardinals (0-0) at Tennessee Titans (0-0) (Orange): Tom McCarthy, Aaron Taylor
CBS’ early slate is headlined by a massive showdown in Buffalo with the Steelers coming to town and it will go to most of the country. There are a few underrated games in the window as well, including the Chargers’ trip to Washington as well as a potential barnburner between the Cardinals and Titans in Tennessee.
Late Window – CBS
Cleveland Browns (0-0) at Kansas City Chiefs (0-0) (Red): Jim Nantz, Tony Romo
Miami Dolphins (0-0) at New England Patriots (0-0) (Blue): Kevin Harlan, Trent Green
The headliner of CBS’ Week 1 coverage is a playoff rematch from last season with the Browns going to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the reigning AFC champion Chiefs. The other matchup in the 4:25 window is an AFC East showdown between the Patriots and Dolphins that will feature Mac Jones’ NFL debut.
Early Window – FOX
Philadelphia Eagles (0-0) at Atlanta Falcons (0-0) (Red): Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen
Seattle Seahawks (0-0) at Indianapolis Colts (0-0) (Blue): Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma
San Francisco 49ers (0-0) at Detroit Lions (0-0) (Green): Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez
Minnesota Vikings (0-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-0) (Yellow): Chris Myers, Daryl Johnston
There isn’t a true standout game in FOX’s 1:00 window but there are a few intriguing matchups, including Seattle heading to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. The game with the most distribution is Eagles-Falcons, which will have a ton of offensive potential.
Late Window – FOX
Green Bay Packers (0-0) at New Orleans Saints (0-0) (Red): Joe Buck, Troy Aikman
Denver Broncos (0-0) at New York Giants (0-0) (Blue): Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth
America’s Game of the Week is Packers-Saints, which was relocated to Jacksonville due to the devastation unleashed on New Orleans by Hurricane Ida. The other game in this window, Broncos-Giants, will only go to relevant markets.
Sunday Night Football (NBC)
Chicago Bears (0-0) at Los Angeles Rams (0-0): Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth
This is the second year in a row that NBC will begin the Sunday night slate in Los Angeles but there will be fans in the building this time at SoFi Stadium. Matthew Stafford will be making his Rams’ debut while Bears’ fans will have to wait to see Justin Fields under center for Chicago.
Monday, Sept. 13 (ESPN)
Baltimore Ravens (0-0) at Las Vegas Raiders (0-0): Steve Levy, Brian Griese, Louis Riddick
There isn’t a Week 1 Monday night doubleheader anymore so ESPN’s lone game is the first regular-season contest in Las Vegas with fans as the Ravens take on the Raiders.
