After the Michigan Wolverines’ impressive Week 1 victory, they will take on the Washington Huskies.

Saturday night’s marquee matchup on ABC will be between two unranked teams when the Washington Huskies travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines.

Washington, who was previously ranked No. 20, will look to bounce back from their week one upset to Montana. Michigan will try to keep rolling after opening the season with a 47-14 win over Western Michigan.

5 bold predictions for Michigan football vs. Washington

1. Blake Corum will run for 100 yards again

The sophomore running back started his season with 111 yards on the ground on 14 carries with one touchdown and another receiving. After just 74 rushing yards in six appearances as a freshman, Corum looks ready to take a second-year leap. Washington’s defense allowed 127 rushing yards to Montana, so expect Corum and Michigan to find the same success.

2. Giles Jackson will return a kick for a touchdown

The Washington Huskie receiver and return specialist, who spent the past two seasons as a Michigan Wolverine, comes back to Ann Arbor in different colors. After transferring in the spring, Jackson will now be putting his return ability to use for the Huskies. Players generally try to play these situations down and act as if they don’t mean much, but you can be sure that Jackson is looking to make a big play on his old stomping grounds.

3. Michigan will force at least three turnovers

The Michigan defense had a good outing in their first game, but they didn’t have any takeaways. Washington’s quarterback Dylan Morris threw three interceptions in week one. That was Morris’ second three-interception game in his five college appearances. Expect the Wolverines to be looking to get their hands on the ball.

4. Sam Huard will make his debut

If the aforementioned struggles of Dylan Morris continue during this game, five-star quarterback Sam Huard may have the opportunity to make his debut in primetime. While Morris will start the game, you have to imagine that he doesn’t have too much more room for error with a talent like Huard behind him. Huard was an early enrollee, so he has the experience of spring ball as well as fall camp to lean on in case he is thrown in the fire and asked to provide a spark to the struggling Washington offense.

5. Michigan will win impressively

Whether it’s Morris or Huard, the Washington Huskies will have a tough time trying to go into The Big House and beat Michigan. Their offense couldn’t get much going against Montana’s defense in week one. Maybe Washington’s week one performance was a result of looking past Montana and focusing on Michigan. If they are to win, they will have to show they can protect the football and stop the run game. With Michigan coming off the type of win they had and getting to play in front of their home crowd again, everything points toward them taking advantage of a struggling Washington.
