Stetson Bennett will make the start for the Georgia football team at quarterback vs. UAB.

Minutes before kickoff vs. the UAB Blazers, Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart has decided to roll with the veteran Stetson Bennett over an injured JT Daniels.

While Daniels started the final four games of last season, as well as Week 1 vs. Clemson up in Charlotte, he is dealing with a bit of an oblique injury. Bennett started the bulk of the games for Georgia last season. Interestingly enough, Carson Beck had been the No. 2 quarterback on Georgia’s depth chart entering this season. For now, Smart will go with a guy he trusts in Bennett.

The Mailman has returned to the Classic City, but will be able to deliver vs. a feisty UAB team?

Daniels should be ready to go for Georgia’s next game with the oblique injury not deemed serious enough to prevent him from working out for trainers before the UAB game.
