Anderson Silva made a big statement in his boxing career with a vicious knockout over fellow UFC legend Tito Ortiz.
Boxing fans didn’t have to wait long to watch Anderson Silva absolutely demolish Tito Ortiz in his latest victory in the boxing ring, knocking him out in the Evander Holyfield-Vitor Belfort co-main event in seconds.
Ortiz, who was making his boxing debut after a long career in MMA with the UFC and Bellator, came out swinging from the opening bell. This would be the beginning of his downfall, as he ended up gassing himself out as he forced Silva to the ropes.
Silva showcased a playful approach, bobbing and weaving through Ortiz’s punches. He was never in any serious trouble on the ropes and threw a vicious counter right-hook followed by a hard left hand that sent Ortiz collapsing to the canvas.
The two MMA legends had a bit of bad blood between the two of them during the week, mostly stemming from Ortiz’s bad weight miss combined with Silva’s reluctance to compete at a higher weight than the planned 195-catchweight bout.
Check out what Twitter had to say after Silva’s incredible knockout over Ortiz.

With the knockout over his former UFC colleague, Silva is now 3-1 in his professional boxing career. He has now won three straight fights including his split-decision win earlier this year over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
After such a quick night in the ring, Silva could fight again sooner rather than later. He’s allegedly been in talks to fight Logan Paul and others over the past few months as he moves on to the next chapter in his legendary combat sports career.
