New York Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge was removed from Sunday’s game against the Mets for an unknown reason.

The New York Yankees have been on a downward spiral after their 13-game winning streak reached its end. It certainly does not help that the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox leaped them in the AL Wild Card standings. As if things could not get any worse, there is a mystery regarding star outfielder Aaron Judge.

During Sunday’s Subway Series finale against the New York Mets, Judge was pulled from the game for an unknown reason. Veteran Brett Gardner replaced him in center field to start the bottom of the third inning.

Aaron Judge leaves game due to dizziness, per manager Aaron Boone

Later in the game, manager Aaron Boone revealed that Judge was dealing with a little dizziness leading to his exit. Boone said that the hope is the dizziness would subside and he’d be ready to go for Monday’s game against the Minnesota Twins. That update comes courtesy of ESPN’s Buster Olney.

During his first at-bat, Judge stepped out of the batter’s box to be treated by a member of the Yankees’ training staff. From first look, it appeared that Judge was dealing with some sort of eye issue. The outfielder struck out on a foul tip in his first at-bat, and struck out looking in the top of the third inning before getting removed.

Entering Sunday night’s game, Judge was slashing .294/.378/.538 while recording 32 home runs, 79 RBI, 75 runs and 141 hits.
