2. NFL Teams in need of a Week 2 win – Tennessee Titans

The Titans were on upset alert this week but clearly didn’t heed any advanced warnings about the danger of the Arizona Cardinals. What started as a 3-point spread in favor of Tennessee quickly morphed into a Cardinals blowout, raising some serious red flags about the Titans’ postseason viability.

Chandler Jones had his way with the Titans’ offensive line, sacking Ryan Tannehill five times and making his life a living hell. Tannehill himself was also underwhelming, completing just 21-of-35 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown on the day.

The bigger issue was the Titans’ defense, which was torched by Kyler Murray all afternoon to the tune of 21-of-32 passing for 289 yards and four touchdowns. This isn’t entirely surprising since the Titans overhauled their secondary in the offseason but the early returns aren’t good for the AFC South favorite.

The division won’t ever get away from Tennessee, especially after Indianapolis looked lousy in their loss to Seattle, but they will get a good look at that game tape since their next game comes on the road against the Seahawks. There is a very strong chance that Tennessee starts 0-2, which would make life much tougher than it needs to be in their division.
