Tyrann Mathieu was so happy to see his Kansas City Chiefs beat the Cleveland Browns Sunday.

Despite not being able to play in Week 1, superstar safety Tyrann Mathieu loved seeing his Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead to begin the year out 1-0.

Mathieu had been placed in COVID-19 protocols in the lead-up to this Week 1 game. However, he was fully vaccinated, and nearly returned in time to take on the Browns in their season opener. While the Chiefs defense had its issues in the first half without Mathieu available, Kansas City was able to hold off the Browns and protect their home turf. Mathieu will be ready to rock in Week 2.

As the old adage goes, just win on Sunday and everything will be okay in the NFL for your team.

Though many people expect the Chiefs to win Super Bowl 56 in Los Angeles, there is work to be done in the coming weeks and months. Cleveland will be one of the better teams the Chiefs will have faced this season. The Browns put enough bad tape on film for future Kansas City opponents to exploit. Kansas City should be thankful Patrick Mahomes is their star franchise quarterback.

Ultimately, a win is a win, and there is nothing you can do to take that away from the victor.
