Washington Football Team fans are horrified as sewage water showers them during their Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers at FedEx Field.

Amid continued COVID-19 concerns, NFL fans packed stadiums this weekend to shower their teams with praise.

Instead, Washington Football Fans were showered in something else entirely as they watched the game from their home stadium.

What an onlooker claims is “sewage water” appears to leak from the ceiling, indicating that a plumbing leak created this catastrophic sewage spewage.

In response, Football Team onlookers laugh, shout and lean away from the stream of unidentifiable liquid. One elderly fan is seen leaning back as far as he possibly can from the stream as he nervously laughs about the situation.

“That’s how we celebrate!” another fan shouts during the video.

The literal sewage storm comes a year after a metaphorical one for the Washington Football Team, who has yet to decide on an official name after their decades-long moniker was removed for being racist. Of course, the team also faced a cheerleading sexual harassment scandal, with all the dysfunction eventually leading it to name Snyder’s wife, Tanya, as CEO in an attempt to seem more palatable to women.

Notably, WFT president Jason Wright has been working diligently to improve the organization inside and out, and it’s been working: the team won the title for the NFC East last year at 7-9 and lost a close playoff game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Youthful stars like Chase Young imbue energy into a team that’s now being led by Taylor Heinicke following Ryan Fitzgerald’s second-quarter hip injury.

Currently, the Washington Football Team leads the Los Angeles Chargers in the final half of the game.
