Northern Illinois travels to Ann Arbor to take on the No. 25 ranked Michigan Wolverines in Week 3 of college football and we have you covered with all the info.

The newly ranked, No. 25, Michigan Wolverines will face the Northern Illinois Huskies this Saturday. The Wolverines, coming off two dominant victories, will look to continue to run right through their opponents.

Doing most of the running is backfield tandem Hassan Haskins and Blake Corum, or Thunder and Lightning as they’re known in Ann Arbor. Both backs have over 200 rushing yards after the first two games with Haskins averaging 5.6 a carry and Corum 8.1.

Northern Illinois, who is coming off a 50-43 loss against Wyoming, will be tasked with slowing down the explosive Michigan run game. The Huskies haven’t shown the ability to stop the run, allowing 231 rushing yards a game.

However, they will bring their own powerful run game, averaging 204.5 rushing yards a game. Northern Illinois’ run game will have to keep stride with the Wolverines if they want to go into The Big House and pull off the upset.

Michigan vs Northern Illinois Prediction Week 3

This game should play out much like the listed odds. The Wolverines run game will be too much for Northern Illinois. Haskins and Corum are due for another big day. Even though the Huskies have their own run game, it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to hang around with the Huskies for long. Final Score: Michigan 45, Northern Illinois 14
