Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr called out a reporter postgame for being negative following the Raiders overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens.

To cap off an entertaining Week 1 of the NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders took down the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football in an overtime thriller, 33-27. Even with the Ravens recent bad luck at the running back position, Baltimore was still expected to leave Allegiant Stadium with a win.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was well aware that his team were the underdogs in their home stadium, but his 31-yard touchdown pass in overtime sealed the deal. Carr’s confidence carried over to postgame interviews where he addressed negativity head-on.

Reeling off of a victory, Carr walked to the podium postgame expecting Associated Press writer Josh Dubow to be negative.

Carr, who obviously has a good relationship with Dubow, had reason to mention adding Monday night’s game to his career winnings. He completed 34-of-56 pass attempts and finished with a Week 1 league-high 435 yards and two touchdowns.

It seemed as Las Vegas threw the game away, literally, when Carr chucked an end zone interception in overtime. However, the Ravens poor luck continued as Raiders’ defensive end Carl Nassib forced Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson to fumble.

Las Vegas then proceeded to get hit with a delay of game prior to attempting a field goal that then led to the offense taking the field again for Carr’s insane game-winning touchdown pass.

What was there to be negative about in the Raiders’ postgame? After all, it was just another wild night in Las Vegas.
