With all this chaos surrounding venue choices, the decision to host the game in Seattle may have been the easiest for the MLB in years.

T-Mobile Park, home to the Seattle Mariners, has the fifth largest capacity of all stadiums in the league with nearly 48,000 seats. It opened in 1999 and is often regarded as one of the top-10 ballparks in the nation.

Hosting the All-Star Game in 2023 will be a great boost for a Seattle baseball community that hasn’t seen a playoff game from the hometown Mariners in 20 years. Though the Mariners are fighting a tough uphill battle to get a wild card slot this years playoffs, it is likely the 2023 game will be the most exciting baseball in Seattle for the foreseeable future.
