Former Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley said Aaron Rodgers doesn’t look like he has the work ethic he used to have this year.

Coming off one of the worst games of his NFL career, Aaron Rodgers is getting kicked while he’s down.

Jermichael Finley, Rodgers’ former teammate with the Packers, appeared on the Keyshawn, JWill & Max show on ESPN and lambasted the quarterback.

Finley said Rodgers is bad at taking responsibility or blame upon himself.

“He’s not aleader in that aspect of the game,” Finley said.

His harshes words had to do with Rodgers’ commitment this offseason.

“Bro, it’s the National Football League. Each offseason you’ve got to work like it’s your last season. And I just don’t see a work ethic in Aaron Rodgers that I have in previous years,” Finley said. “Actually, you can see it right through his helmet. The eyes and the face tells everything as a personality. And, I just don’t see that NFL hunger and just the hunger to go win another championship.”

Finley is expecting the Packers to miss the playoffs and for Rodgers to be replaced by backup Jordan Love.

“I think Love is going to be ready for the job real soon,” he said.

That’s a pretty bold statement to make after one bad game from Rodgers. He went 15-of-28 for 133 yards and two interceptions. It was undoubtedly bad, but he was so good last year, writing him off now feels premature.

Maybe the Packers did mess up their preseason preparation, but they’ll get to bounce back this week with a now-critical game against the Lions on Monday Night Football. If Rodgers is shakey again the critical voices will get much louder.
