2. Jameis Winston does not throw an interception

Throughout his career, quarterback Jameis Winston has struggled with turnovers. In 2019, Winston led the entire NFL with 30 interceptions. Across his five seasons in Tampa Bay, Winston recorded a total of 88 interceptions and 50 fumbles.

Therefore, it was very surprising that Winston threw five touchdowns with zero interceptions against the Packers. It was the first game Winston threw three or more touchdowns without an interception since December 18, 2017 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Winston has a great chance of heading into Week 3 without throwing an interception. The Panthers’ defense has recently struggled to force turnovers. Their defense had a total of seven interceptions in 2020, which was tied for the second-fewest in the league. Cornerback Donte Jackson was Carolina’s only player to record multiple interceptions.

Last season, the Panthers failed to record a single interception in their two games against the Saints. I believe that trend will continue this Sunday.
