New York Giants Daniel Jones looked like his “Vanilla Vick” nickname as he ran for a touchdown, but the refs ruined the moment with a dubious holding call.

Nothing kills a moment quite like a holding flag.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had a beautiful 58-yard touchdown run called back when the refs called a penalty on one of his receivers blocking downfield.

It’s a shame because Jones absolutely lived up to his “Vanilla Vick” nickname in that moment and it got taken away for the worst reason.

Here’s the touchdown run in all its glory.

And here’s a closer look at the hold that took it away.

Come on, refs. Let them play!

New York ended up with the ball at the Washington 42 yard line with the penalty enforced and got as close as the five as the drive continued. However, they had to settle for a field goal in the end.
