10 QB sleepers to target for fantasy football 2021 Week 2

Jalen Hurts vs. San Francisco 49ers

Another huge surprise from the Week 1 slate was the play of Jalen Hurts, who won the starting quarterback job for the Philadelphia Eagles this summer. In all honesty, that should not have even been a challenge, as he is a very talented signal-caller, and he proved that in his first regular-season opener start.

Hurts dominated the Atlanta Falcons, leading Philadelphia to an easy victory in Week 1, and in Week 2, I would expect him to play at a high level once again. Last weekend, the San Francisco 49ers had no answer for Jared Goff at times, and if they play that way against Hurts, he is going to bury them.

Hurts is a guy who can make plays with his arm, and his legs and this 49ers defense looked very beatable at times on Sunday. The Eagles could have something special in their second-year quarterback, and I know he won me my fantasy week this past weekend.

Jameis Winston vs. Carolina Panthers

During his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jameis Winston struggled with turnovers, and it hindered what he was able to accomplish with the team. In his first start for the New Orleans Saints, he kept the turnovers at a minimum, while also showing why he was the No. 1 overall pick a few years ago.

Winston shredded the Green Bay Packers secondary, tossing five touchdowns in a game that they were supposed to get blown out in. The truth is, he has an outstanding coach in Sean Payton, learned for a year under Drew Brees, and looks like a completely different player.

On Sunday, Winston and his Saints teammates will battle it out against the Carolina Panthers, one that allowed two touchdowns to Zach Wilson of the New York Jets in Week 1. If Wilson can toss two touchdowns with his shoddy offensive line against Carolina, Winston could go for four of them.
