The Silver and Black come off a Monday night thriller. Now Jon Gruden and the Raiders head east to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Off a short week and a thrilling victory over the Baltimore Ravens in overtime, the Silver and Black heads east to take on the Steelers at Heinz Field. It is the Raiders’ first appearance in the Steel City since falling, 38-35, back in 2015. It’s a series that has seen the home team prevail in the last five meetings dating back to 2010. And the clubs’ last clash saw some fourth-quarter heroics by both clubs.

5. Lessons learned from last meeting

Three years ago at Oakland, Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr rallied his team to a 24-21 victory over Mike Tomlin’s club. It was late in the 2018 season and Jon Gruden’s club would finish 4-12 by year’s end. His team would get a solid effort from their talented signal-caller despite the fact that he was sacked four times and lost a fumble.

Carr finished the afternoon throwing for 322 yards and a pair of touchdowns, connecting on 25 of his 34 attempts. With his team down 21-17 late in the contest, he drove the Raiders 75 yards in only eight plays. He culminated the march with a six-yard TD pass to tight end Derek Carrier with 21 seconds to play.
