If this isn’t rock bottom for Florida State, then what is?

If losing to Wake Forest by  21 points to go 0-3 isn’t rock bottom for Florida State, then what would it be? Going 0-3?

Tallahassee is now a site of misery in college football, its occupants being the now 0-3 Florida State Seminoles football team. The first 0-3 start for the Seminoles since the late Bobby Bowden’s first season.

The Seminoles are nowhere near what they are supposed to be. Granted, they were not expected to compete for a national title, but to have no wins in the first three games is unacceptable.

Take Wake Forest, for example. The Demon Deacons beat the Seminoles only once in their last eight meetings. On Saturday, they forced three straight turnovers to close out the game. Additionally, while Notre Dame walked off with a field goal in overtime, the Seminoles allowed Jacksonville State to beat them on a walk-off touchdown due to apathetic defense from the secondary.

Sorry Florida State, this really feels like you hit rock bottom as a program

Since Jimbo Fisher left, the Seminoles have not been the same program that their storied history suggests. While wanting to hire Deion Sanders to become the new head coach may sound too appealing, just switching coaches and automatically expecting success isn’t going to work. Not even Nick Saban had that luxury.

The Seminoles aren’t exactly headed for a rosier path. Louisville is next on the schedule, as is Syracuse. Again, they are both winnable games, but both schools, after seeing what the Seminoles have produced over the last three games, are eager for a chance to pounce and take advantage of the situation.

All is not well for Florida State, and if this losing continues, the frustration will continue to boil over until it reaches a breaking point of no return, a feeling that nobody associated with the team wants to endure.
