Watch: Gus Johnson lost his mind on insane Kirk Cousins TD pass (Video)
Veteran sportscaster Gus Johnson passionately calls incredible 64-yard touchdown thrown by Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.
When Minnesota Vikings fans saw the unbelievable 64-yard touchdown from Kirk Cousins to K.J. Osborn, they may have recognized the voice calling the game: longtime sports broadcaster Gus Johnson.
Johnson has been Fox Sports’ lead announcer for play-by-play action in college basketball and college football. The well-known broadcaster has also announced for the Big Ten, Boxing on Showtime, and CBS Sports.

Famous for his enthusiastic playcalling, Johnson’s call was music to the ears of NFL fans watching the Vikings-Cardinals matchup.
Johnson joins NFL broadcasters in an exciting new partnership, one that has him sitting in the booth beside retired NFL cornerback Aqib Talib. Currently, the pair are scheduled for Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4 games, although a more permanent future schedule is expected.
Johnson recently told The Athletic that he was excited to support Talib, whom he affectionately calls his “nephew”, and help his impressive broadcasting career flourish.
"“It was like the perfect situation for us to work together because we feel really confident and strong and about Aqib’s talent. We think he has a very, very bright future as a broadcaster. They wanted to put him with somebody who had some experience, and I was excited about getting back in the NFL. So I think it was perfect. I get to work with my nephew. That’s what I’m calling him. I get to work with my nephew. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”"
When Talib began calling NFL games last season, he was a powerful representation of Black American voices in the broadcasting booth, which are overwhelming filled with older white male analysts. The five-time Pro Bowler and SB50 champion also brings a unique skillset that few other announcers possess: his expertise on breaking down the defensive side of the ball. Talib’s genius came into play on the Cousins touchdown, when he followed Johnson’s emphatic call with a discussion of the Cardinals’ busted coverage.
With Johnson and Talib calling games, NFL fans are treated to two energizing voices that each call the game in trademark fashion.
