Chiefs receiver Byron Pringle says that coach Andy Ried makes the best impressions of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

NFL receivers who are dependent on their quarterback to throw them the ball probably would avoid making fun of that quarterback, especially when that quarterback is former NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.

However, on the latest Arrowhead Addict podcast, Kansas City Chiefs receiver Byron Pringle said head coach Andy Reid not only does the best Mahomes impression but also is the only one in the locker room that has tried it.

"“Jeeze I don’t even (know), Coach Reid?” Pringle said. “Nobody else messes with him or does an impression of him. If they does, I don’t hear it.”"

Reid has had Mahomes at the helm of his offense for four seasons now, so if there was anyone who knew how to properly mimic the quarterback, it would be his head coach. The two have garnered a well of success in those four seasons, including Mahomes’ MVP in 2018 and their Super Bowl win the year after.

The tandem is currently one of the league’s best currently and should be penciled in as contenders deep into the 2021 playoffs.

Earlier in the year, on a radio show, Reid said the quarterback makes him “look good” just as his wife did:

"“That’s what I’ve always said about my wife. I mean, she made me look good, like I was a good recruiter. This guy does the same for you being a coach.”"
