5 Best Fantasy Football matchups to exploit for Week 3
2. WR Courtland Sutton vs. the New York Jets
Courtland Sutton broke out onto the scene in Week 2 after being limited the previous week, catching nine-of-twelve targets for 159 yards. In just one week, he has cemented himself as the favorite target of Broncos’ quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
With Jerry Jeudy nursing a high-ankle sprain, Sutton has capitalized on the increased volume. The next closest to Sutton’s 12 targets was tight end Noah Fant, who recorded six. In terms of yardage, running back Melvin Gordon was second on the team with 38 — a number not even close to the 159 that Sutton accounted for.
Sutton and the Broncos have had a nice streak of vanilla matchups — with the Giants, Jaguars, and now the Jets coming up. Sutton should have himself a day yet again against a bad Jets secondary.
With that much volume coming his way, his floor seems set. Wideouts with that steady of a floor is hard to come by. He’s a top-20 wide receiver play for me and someone you should target in daily lineups.
