DraftKings NFL 2021: Best lineup for Week 3
Week 3 of the NFL season is just around the corner, and while many fantasy players play in season-long leagues, DraftKings and daily fantasy has become a top alternative.
Welcome to Week 3 of the NFL season. Fantasy football is in full swing as season-long league managers try to fight week to week to stay in the divisional hunt. For daily fantasy players, the fight is different — and still just as difficult.
Playing fantasy football means you don’t necessarily need to worry about injuries (pre-game that is), or managing a team during the season. Picking from a pool of players to form a lineup is intriguing for a lot of fantasy footballers.
That’s the difficult part about daily fantasy: Who do I play? Top-tier guys are always the choice, but it has everything to do with how you spend your money rather than just getting the most expensive guys. A well-balanced team is often the best bet.
Even high-priced players can bust. Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen is a top-five quarterback money wise, but the QB19 in fantasy points. A lot more than just names goes into the daily fantasy game.
Let’s get into it.
Best DraftKings lineup of Week 3
Quarterback: Matthew Stafford — $6,400
Matthew Stafford and the Rams play a huge game against the Buccaneers in Week 3 — a showdown between two of the NFC’s powerhouses. Going toe-to-toe with Tom Brady is no easy task, but the result can be a lot of fantasy points.
In his first two games with the Rams, Stafford has thrown for 599 yards and five touchdowns. Not a bad start, considering it’s his first time in head coach Sean McVay’s scheme. Production in this offense is nearly inevitable from Stafford, especially with a strong supporting cast.
The Bucs have allowed 684 yards this season, which is third-worst in the league. This is partly because teams are forced to throw the ball to hang with them.
While I don’t think Stafford will be the top quarterback this week, getting him in this matchup for a reasonable price is the way to go.
