The Packers bounced back from a horrific Week 1 loss to the Saints by knocking off the Lions in Week 2. Can they win again this week against the 49ers?

Packers fans have every right to be confused about just how good or bad their favorite team is after two weeks of NFL action. Green Bay managed to erase many of the bad memories from Week 1’s debacle against the Saints by cruising past the Lions in Week 2. This Sunday they face a serious step up in competition in the form of the 49ers.

San Francisco will arrive at Lambeau Field sporting a 2-0 record that might overstate their accomplishments on the young season. Kyle Shanahan’s team held off a late comeback by Detroit to defeat the Lions 41-33 in Week 1. They followed that triumph up with a narrow 17-11 victory against the Eagles last week.

Both the Packers and 49ers will be out to prove their worth on Sunday Night Football. Here are five bold predictions about how the big game will unfold.

5. Darnell Savage will get an interception

Kyle Shanahan and his offensive coaching staff will work hard to get superstar tight end George Kittle involved in this game early and often. That will put a ton of pressure on strong safety Darnell Savage to prevent him from making deep catches down the seam.

Look for Savage to come up with at least one turnover when Jimmy Garoppolo tries to force the ball into his favorite target. One pick might not be enough to prop up Green Bay’s secondary on the night, but Savage will be a key player for the Packers.
