Texas Message board poster is trying to convince fellow Longhorns fans that Steve Sarkisian is the second coming of Nick Saban.

There’s wishful thinking, and then there’s delusional thinking, like believing that Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian is the next Nick Saban. That’s what a Texas football message board poster believes, at least.

It’s moments like this where you have some people falling out of their chairs crying, laughing and others just facepalm their heads until it leaves a red mark.

First and foremost, look at their resumes. Saban, in case anyone forgot, has seven national championships on his resume.

In contrast, Sarkisian has a checkered past dating back to his time at USC before arriving at Alabama as Saban’s offensive coordinator. Needless to say, it’s a little ridiculous to suggest Sarkisian is the next Saban. There is no comparison.

Saying that Steve Sarkisian will be the next Nick Saban is downright hilarious

A note of warning, in the 2022 college football season, Sarkisian will have an opportunity to face Saban with Texas scheduled to host Alabama, the first meeting of the two schools since the 2009 BCS Nationa Championship, won by the Tide 37-21, Saban’s first title at Alabama.

But more importantly, it would be wise to stop saying a college coach will be just as good as Saban. There just won’t be. Sarkisian can help Texas win games. But to say he’s going to be as great as his former boss doesn’t make sense at all.

Message boards don’t have much value outside of the comedic value provided by seeing hot takes such as this one.
