2. A Vikings cornerback will intercept Wilson

The Vikings cornerbacks are not great. It would be a stretch to say they were good even. Bashaud Breeland currently ranks last out of 102 ranked cornerbacks this season according to Pro Football Focus. The highest-graded corner on the team, Patrick Peterson, sits at just 73rd.

If there is any way to put an encouraging spin on it, the only place Minnesota cornerbacks can go is up. Week 3 has the potential to be a crucial pivot for defensive play in the secondary. If the corners can keep steady against Wilson’s elite arm and receiver talent with some support from the pass rush, it would be a huge confidence boost.

For the reasons above, one of Minnesota’s cornerbacks will come up with a big pick against Seattle. The Seahawks will go into the game with an understandable level of confidence in the pass game against the Vikings, and it might just cross the line into an overconfidence that puts in the ball in Minnesota’s hands.
