The No. 11 Ranked Florida Gators return to action Saturday against the Tennessee Volunteers.

The No. 11 Florida Gators will host the Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday in primetime on ESPN. Both teams enter the game 2-1 and will compete for SEC East positioning.

The Gators, who are coming off a hard-fought loss to No. 1 ranked Alabama, look to rebound and get back to winning. After falling behind 21-3 after the first quarter, Florida was able to fight back into the game before eventually losing 31-29.

Emory Jones took every snap at quarterback as Anthony Richardson nursed a hamstring injury. Jones threw for 195 yards and ran for another 77. Senior running back Malik Davis was able to get going on the ground running for 86 yards on 10 carries. He hopes to replicate that success against the Tennessee defense.

The Volunteers are coming off a 56-point victory over Tennessee Tech. Senior quarterback Hendon Hooker started the game for the Vols, after starting quarterback Joe Milton III went down with a lower-body injury in Week 2. Hooker passed for 199 yards last week while also leading the team in rushing with 64 yards. If Milton is unable to go, Hooker will lead the Tennessee offense for a second week.

Florida injury report

Florida’s redshirt freshman quarterback Anthony Richardson was cleared to play last week but remained on the sideline as an emergency quarterback. When he is healthy the Gators like to mix him in with starter Emory Jones. Head coach Dan Mullen thinks it’s likely he plays Saturday.
