Jack Coan gets the last laugh with Notre Dame beating the Wisconsin football team Saturday.

Jack Coan got his revenge.

While he did get hurt in his revenge game, Notre Dame quarterback Jack Coan got the last laugh on Saturday afternoon, as the Fighting Irish shellacked the Wisconsin football program at Soldier Field, 41-13.

Prior to last season, Coan was the Badgers’ starting quarterback. However, an offseason injury led to Graham Mertz winning the job in Madison. This led to Coan transferring to South Bend. Even if Coan if is not setting the world on fire with his arm, the Irish are 4-0. Mertz has become a turnover machine for the 1-2 Badgers.

Notre Dame will have to take it game-by-game, but Coan is in a far better situation right now.

Despite injury, Jack Coan gets the last laugh over the Badgers in Notre Dame’s win

Though Notre Dame may not be getting to the College Football Playoff for the third time in four years, the Irish remain a top-10 program in the country. Coan had huge shoes to fill in South Bend with Ian Book turning pro. Even if Coan is a bit banged up, Drew Pyne and the Notre Dame defense came to play on Saturday. This was an incredibly impressive win for the Golden Domers in Week 4.

While Notre Dame has its entire season ahead of it, it is 100 percent season over for Wisconsin.
