Maria Taylor left ESPN amid a contract dispute and is no longer working on College GameDay.

After a highly-publicized departure from ESPN after a contract dispute and a very ugly situation involving Rachel Nichols questioning her role with the NBA coverage, Maria Taylor left for a new opportunity at NBC.

In addition to no longer having her role working the NBA, Taylor also left her post as part of College GameDay.

With Taylor no longer appearing on College GameDay, that opened up more opportunities and time for Jen Lada to present feature stories and hold interviews.

Jen Lada has had a bigger role on College GameDay with Maria Taylor out

Lada isn’t new to GameDay but she’s had an expanded role in the wake of Taylor leaving for NBC. Lada has had her feature stories run on GameDay for the last few seasons and she’s been on-site working with David Pollack for the “You had one job” segment that’s always good for a few laughs.

She’s one of the most talented journalists and on-air personalities ESPN has and it’s great to see her shine in a bigger role this season on GameDay.
