Look: Skip Bayless isn’t ready to give Oklahoma football any credit

Skip Bayless will accept an Oklahoma victory but not credit the team after their performance.

Another day, another Oklahoma victory to keep them ranked, and another tweet by Sooners fan Skip Bayless on how the game played out. Oklahoma, ranked #4 in the nation, barely escaped West Virginia 16-13 on a walk-off field goal after trailing the entire game.

Needless to say, Bayless was not pleased and tweeted in defeat, that is until the Sooners won the game, to which he tweeted about not giving any credit for.

If Bayless honestly thought the Sooners would be one of college football’s elite, tonight was a prime example of how this team has a good group of players, but they have a lot to learn, winning by three in a low-scoring Big 12 affair.

The Sooners’ play against the Mountaineers will ensure that they will not survive in the SEC, where they and Texas will be heading in a few years, that is, if they continue to play like what they did against West Virginia.

Furthermore, it’s not often you see great defense played in the Big 12, where offenses are flying up and down the field. Oklahoma made this game closer than it should have been and, while winning the game, the Sooners lost the opportunity to make a statement.

Skip Bayless didn’t have kind feelings for Spencer rattler or Oklahoma

In fairness to Bayless, a bad snap by West Virginia did allow Oklahoma to compose themselves and ultimately drive down the field for a game-winning field goal.

But need we forget what happened during the game, where the Norman crowd was booing Sooners quarterback Spencer Rattler and wanting his backup?

Also, Rattler wasn’t necessarily on top of his game, and that’s not good for a quarterback projected to be among the top picks in next year’s NFL Draft.

Nonetheless, while Skip Bayless says what he wants to say, the Oklahoma Sooners are still undefeated, and as long as they keep winning. To stay in the conversation for the College Football Playoff, on the other hand, they must play better than what they did against the Mountaineers.
