With the Kansas City Chiefs falling to 1-2 on the year, could the Denver Broncos or Las Vegas Raiders steal the division title away from them?

What in the heck is going on with the Kansas City Chiefs? The team entered the campaign as the favorites to win the Super Bowl, but following Sunday’s loss to the LA Chargers, Patrick Mahomes and Co. are now 1-2 on the season.

Elsewhere in the division, both the Raiders and Broncos are a perfect 3-0 after their respective wins on Sunday. Could Denver or Las Vegas end up winning the AFC West this season, or will Kansas City right the ship and take home the title?

Both the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders are making serious noise in the AFC West

Kansas City surely doesn’t like seeing Denver and Vegas play so well. For the Broncos, they were downright dominant in Week 3 going up against the Jets, recording a 26-0 win. The defense made Zach Wilson look absolutely atrocious. Denver’s defense is absolutely beastly, which will continue to be the case throughout the year.

Meanwhile for Las Vegas, Derek Carr is looking like a total stud early on this campaign. He’s stepped up in the clutch for his team in pressure situations, including the thrilling 33-27 win over the Baltimore Ravens to open up the season. Carr also made some massive throws in Sunday’s OT win over the Dolphins.

Carr is in the MVP conversation early on thanks to his outstanding play. The Chiefs aren’t panicking yet following their slow start, though. When you have Patrick Mahomes on the field for you, you’re always going to have a chance to record some big-time wins.

Kansas City is expected to push for a Super Bowl title once again. Having said that, if they’re not careful, they could end up seeing either Denver or Vegas win the division this time around. Both teams are looking that strong in ’21.
