Kansas City Chiefs fans are losing their minds over Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s fumbling issues.

It is still early in the season, but Kansas City Chiefs fans are falling apart at the seams over Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s inability to hold onto the football.

The former first-round pick out of LSU fumbled for the second time this NFL season on Sunday afternoon. This time, it led to an Austin Ekeler touchdown grab for the division rival Los Angeles Chargers. Given how promising the Bolts were entering this season, this latest fumble by Edwards-Helaire could prove costly. Regardless, Chiefs Kingdom is not taking this fumble well.

Ball security is paramount for an NFL running back and Edwards-Helaire has to be better there.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire fumbles the football yet again

While the Chiefs are still an outstanding team, not being able to trust their starting running back to hold onto the football is a growing issue for Kansas City.

Keep in mind that he was the first running back taken in the 2020 NFL Draft over two-time Doak Walker winner Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin.

With the Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders playing well this season, the AFC West looks to be way more competitive than many people even realized.

Until Edwards-Helaire learns to hold onto the ball, this will be an ongoing issue for Kansas City.
