Unfortunately for a young Tampa Bay Rays fan, he got his head stuck inside of the Wade Boggs statue at Tropicana Field.

In what has been a year to remember for the Tampa Bay Rays, there was a bit of a scare at Tropicana Field over the weekend. That’s because a young man got a little too close with the infamous Wade Boggs statue at the ballpark.

Indeed, a young boy got his head stuck in the statue, causing a bit of a scene at Tropicana. Fortunately he was able to get loose, but that statue of Boggs is now off limits for all fans until further notice.

Obviously, this is something you’ve got to hate seeing. This youngster was probably fired up to make his way to the park to watch his beloved Rays play. Then, he delivered his family quite the scare with the Boggs statue.

The Rays ended up recording a 7-3 win on Saturday and then followed things up with another victory on Sunday as well. At the end of the day, this was just a bit of a troubling situation, but the young fan was able to get himself free and he probably had a smile on his face knowing his team got the win.

With that said, this boy will now know to be careful the next time he heads to Tropicana to watch the Rays in action.
