3 Eagles who should be benched after Cowboys loss
K’Von Wallace
K’Von Wallace hurt his shoulder trying to tackle Ezekiel Elliott, so it’s possible circumstances could take him out of the lineup before the Eagles coaches do. Still, those very coaches should take note of his performance before the injury and think better of starting him again.
To be fair to Philadephia, they’re dealing with injury issues at safety, so Wallace wouldn’t be the first choice in an ideal world. Having said that, they have to play the hand they’re dealt and they need to do a better job on that front.
Marcus Epps isn’t a significant upgrade on Wallace, but he is a better option at this point.
Basically, the defense needs to hold their breath until Rodney McLeod makes it back from injury.
In the end, something drastic needs to change on defense to prevent future performances like the one Eagles fans saw on Monday.
Sirianni and his staff have some serious work to do on defense.
