The Alabama football team has been building an impressive streak over the last two seasons.

Nick Saban has been orchestrating a dynasty down in Tuscaloosa with the Alabama football team. Over the past decade-plus, the Crimson Tide have claimed numerous records and streaks.

With all they have accomplished, a current streak they have going may be the most impressive one yet.

Alabama hasn’t trailed at any point over the last 53 quarters. That represents the longest streak in the FBS since 1950.

That equates to 13 games and an additional quarter. So Alabama hasn’t been down on the scoreboard since Oct. 17, 2020, in the third quarter against Georgia when they trailed 24-20. The Tide eventually won that game 41-24 and have jumped out on opponents ever since.

This is extremely impressive because although many teams dominate opponents, it’s pretty common to fall behind early, exchange leads or just get off to a slow start. Just look at teams like Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma this season alone.

Ohio State trailed at halftime in their opener, lost in Week 2, Clemson has two losses and Oklahoma didn’t have a lead against West Virginia until kicking the game-winning field goal as time expired.

Alabama streak on the line vs. Ole Miss

That streak could be in jeopardy on Saturday against Ole Miss who joined Georgia last year in holding a lead in their Oct. 10 game, eventually won by the Tide.

The No. 12 Rebels are a high-powered offensive team lead by the leading Heisman candidate Matt Corral. They enter the game averaging 52.7 points per game. They average 14 first-quarter points per game and have scored first in all of their three games. If Ole Miss wins the toss, the streak could come to an end in the opening minutes of Saturday afternoon’s game on CBS unless the Tide defense has an answer.
