As it turns out, St. Louis Cardinals standout Nolan Arenado had no doubt that his team would make the postseason this year.

The St. Louis Cardinals really have turned things around with a bang. Once looking like a team who would be watching the postseason from home, the NL Central side has won 17 games in a row. Truly unreal.

St. Louis clinched an NL Wild Card spot on Tuesday night with a win over the Brewers. Had you predicted this run at the All-Star break, we would have called you crazy. As it turns out, stud third baseman Nolan Arenado called things back then.

Nolan Arenado had no doubt in his mind that the Cardinals would clinch a playoff berth

If you’re a Cardinals fan, you’ve simply got to love seeing this. Arenado, who enjoyed an outstanding start to his career with the Colorado Rockies, is in his first season with the Cards. After so many disappointing campaigns with Colorado, he was ready to try and make noise in the postseason with his new team in 2021.

However, St. Louis truly did look like they didn’t have a chance of making it this fall. Fast forward to present time and the club is playing its best baseball of the year and looking like a serious force in the National League.

Who would have predicted they’d end up winning 17 games in a row? They’ve got a chance to extend that to 18 on Wednesday night going up against Milwaukee. As it turns out, we were all foolish to doubt this club.

Now, Arenado is ready to put on a show in the playoffs with the Cardinals. It should be a fun October for St. Louis supporters everywhere. This team is ready to keep the magic going.
