NFL Network host and Michigan alum Rich Eisen only needed two words to describe the Wolverines’ win over the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday.

The Michigan Wolverines have not enjoyed much success in recent years, as was evident last year in the truncated season. But in 2021, the Wolverines have shown that they are a legit team through the first four games of the season.

This Saturday was no different, as the Wolverines dominated the Wisconsin Badgers on the road in a 38-17 victory to improve their record to 5-0. NFL Network host and Michigan alum Rich Eisen only need to tweet out two words to express his feelings on the Wolverines’ performance.

Michigan dominates Wisconsin to improve to 5-0

Oh baby, indeed.

Michigan held a 13-10 lead over Wisconsin entering halftime, but they pulled away quickly and left their counterparts in the dust. On their very first drive of the second half, the Wolverines orchestrated an 11-play drive, culminating in a one-yard touchdown run by J.J. McCarthy. Including that play, the Wolverines put up 25 unanswered points before Wisconsin scored a touchdown on their final rive of the game.

Cade McNamara led the way for Michigan, as he completed 17-of-28 pass attempts for 197 yards and two touchdowns. J.J. McCarthy only threw one pass in the game, which came on a  56-yard touchdown to Daylen Baldwin.

Michigan’s defense was pivotal in the win, as they stopped Wisconsin on 11-of-14 third-down conversion attempts. Additionally, the entire Badgers running game was limited to 43 yards on 32 carries.

The Wolverines will look to improve their record to 6-0 on Oct. 23 when they face the Northwestern Wildcats.
