Davis Mills

Welcome to the NFL, rookie.

Davis Mills shouldn’t be starting pro football games at this stage in his career. That much is clear after he went 11-of-21 and tossed four interceptions in a 40-0 blowout at the hands of the Bills.

The Texans‘ third-round draft pick looked utterly overwhelmed by the experience. Houston should do everything they can to protect him from another start when he’s simply not ready to play.

That’s not his fault. Mills didn’t create the unrest between Deshaun Watson and the team. He didn’t put Tyrod Taylor on injured reserve. He’s literally the only quarterback Houston has left.

He still shouldn’t be starting NFL games.

Whether they finally pull the trigger on a Watson trade or find a journeyman to take over (Cam Newton is still available), the Texans can’t throw the rookie out there again.
