The Miami Dolphins took a tough blow prior to Week 3’s matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders whenever they listed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on the injured reserve list with fractured ribs. Enter backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is now 0-3 as a starter for Miami.

In Week 4, the Dolphins fell to the Indianapolis Colts, 27-17. The Colts entered South Florida winless and left with their first victory of the season. Brissett went 20-of-30 for 199 yards and two touchdowns. The Dolphins weren’t able to get anything done offensively until the fourth quarter, where 123 of Jacoby’s 199 passing yards took place.

Brissett threw his first passing touchdown of the year in the final quarter of the game. It marked the second passing touchdown for Miami this season, with the first one coming from Tagovailoa.

The Dolphins will travel in-state to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5. Jacoby played under Tom Brady during their time together in New England, but Brady is sure to make Brissett look even worse when the two go head-to-head.

Jacoby isn’t qualified to be a starter, but Miami’s hands are tied until Tua hopefully returns in a few weeks. If it wasn’t for that, the Dolphins would be in the market for a QB1.
