The Oklahoma Sooners overcame a 28-7 deficit against the Texas Longhorns with a walk-off touchdown run by Kennedy Brooks that had the college football world shaken.

It was over for the Oklahoma Sooners after Spencer Rattler was benched, and they went down 28-7, right? No way Texas could blow this, right? They did.

Kennedy Brooks etched his name in college football lore after scoring a walk-off touchdown run for the Sooners as time expired to escape the Longhorns 55-48.

Needless to say, the college football world went wild, as did social media.

An unbelievable ending to a game that was thought to be over early on and had Skip Bayless reacting harshly to the benching of Rattler for Caleb Williams, who wound up created a legacy for himself by pulling off this incredible comeback.

Texas choked and Oklahoma had a comeback for the ages

Well, one thing was made clear by this game. Texas is not back, and head coach Steve Sarkisian now has his own choke job on his legacy. Still, it really goes back to Oklahoma and how they pulled this off when everything was going wrong.

Xavier Worthy’s touchdown on the first play of the game had the Longhorn nation in chaos, and the early lead was undoubtedly worthy of it. On top of that, the Sooners could not find a rhythm, and as a result, they had no choice but to make a switch.

Williams, a true freshman, stepped into one of the biggest rivalries in college football and made the most of his opportunity. As such, Lincoln Riley may likely choose to proceed forward with him as the starter. That would be a big blow to Rattler, but college football is mostly about winning games.

The eyes of Texas were upon them, and they wilted and choked. The Sooners? It was a boomer run by Brooks to seal the deal and get the win.
