Former Oklahoma football quarterback Kyler Murray showed his support for the Sooners ahead of the Texas game with a succinct message on Twitter.

Kyler Murray is having a wildly successful 2021 season with the Arizona Cardinals. His former college team, the Oklahoma Sooners, are also undefeated but they face a challenge from Texas on Saturday.

For Murray, images speak louder than words when it comes to supporting the Sooners. He kept it simple on Twitter with a “#BeatTexas” and a highlight video of his success against the Longhorns.

Kyler Murray led Oklahoma to a Big 12 title over Texas

Murray quarterbacked the Sooners in 2018 and had plenty of highlights to use from Oklahoma’s Big 12 Championship Game victory over the Longhorns that season. He put on a show with 379 yards and three touchdowns in the victory.

However, he actually lost the regular-season edition of the Red River Showdown in Dallas when OU’s furious comeback, including a 67-yard touchdown run from Murray, fell short because of a field goal for the Longhorns in the final seconds.

Since the 2018 Big 12 title game, the Sooners haven’t lost to Texas. Spencer Rattler and company will try to extend that winning streak to four games.
