Will Spencer Rattler lose his NIL money after getting benched at Oklahoma?

After getting benched against Texas, will Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Spencer Rattler lose his NIL money?
Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler has made a lot of money off of NIL deals. But, after getting benched against the Texas Longhorns during the 2021 Red River Showdown, will Rattler lose any of the money from those deals?
Right now, Rattler has an endorsement deal with Raising Canes, a local car dealership, and he’s selling autographs on Cameo. Those NIL endorsement deals are pretty great, but Rattler’s play has been anything but special as of late.
So, what happens with that money if Rattler isn’t playing?
Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Spencer Rattler has guaranteed NIL deals
As Darren Rovell points out, the money in these deals is guaranteed, so Rattler won’t be losing any cash, even if he is sitting on Oklahoma’s sideline rather than leading the Sooners offense on the field.
For Rattler, that’s a pretty good deal, but the brands working with him may not think so. Rattler has received some pretty lucrative deals and is making a good bit of money off of his NIL rights. The folks working with him were likely expecting him to be a Heisman Trophy candidate, but instead, all he’s done is struggle this season.
We’ll see how that pans out for him in the long run and if he’s able to turn things around while with the Sooners.
