Christian Vazquez sends Fenway Park into a frenzy with Game 3 walk-off home run (Video)

Boston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez defeats the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 with a walk-off home run.
Vazquez played a major role in the team’s postseason run, and especially in this game with his throw to catch Manuel Margot stealing.
However, it was Vazquez’s bat that sent Fenway Park into a frenzy with a walk-off home run to beat the Rays.
And that’ll do it!
With the Red Sox win, the Rays will face elimination in Game 4 at Fenway Park on Monday night.
Red Sox win Game 3 to take Rays to the brink of elimination
The Red Sox survived 13 innings against the Rays, including a very controversial ruling in the top of the frame that is sure to have Tampa Bay fuming.
A ball hit by Kevin Kiermaier was ruled a double despite deflecting off of outfielder Hunter Renfroe and over the fence. MLB’s explanation is that this should be treated as a basic ground-rule double, rather than granting the runner two bases from when the ball went over the fence.
Such a ruling is puzzling, but apparently was decided as such because Renfroe didn’t intentionally kick the ball over the fence. Had he done so on purpose via some sort of voodoo magic, it would have been two bases from when the ball went over the fence.
Nonetheless, the Red Sox won the war of attrition, and by all means deserve a victory.
